Yemen Al Obrah
Coffee overview
Last batch roasted Mar 13 2025
This coffee was mistakenly labeled as a washed process on the label. It is a natural process!
A sensational nano lot representing a single village's output, Al Obrah represents the very best of an ancient heritage of coffee cultivation in Yemen. Meticulous processing and traceability elevate this lot to exude heavy dried-fruit sugariness, sweet pastry, and slight floral character. A very light Yemen black-tea marker remains on the finish. Little to no earthy character. Absolutely stunning. Sweetness on another level.

Brewing evaluation
Rest: 20+ days recommended
Filter eval day 1: Gabi Standard Recipe of 1:18 shows a heavily sweet cup loaded with dark blue/purple berry notes. Complex dried fruits dominate the palate and finishes with a unique floral and black tea-like character. A decadently sweet cup.
We use 60 hardness, 20 buffer water heated to 198F in all of our recipes.
